Background
I
received my Ph.D. in biological anthropology from the State University of New
York at Stony Brook in 2004 under the guidance of Brigitte Demes. After working as a research fellow at the
Orthopedic Biomechanics laboratory for a few years before and after completing
my doctorate, I was promoted to the faculty position of Instructor of
Orthopedic Surgery at
Harvard
Medical
School
. I have written or co-written research grants
awarded by the NSF, Leakey Foundation, and the NIH.
I also
hold an appointment as an adjunct professor of anthropology at
Boston
University
.
